Mrs. Morgan organises a bus from the Tweed each time Lionel is playing in Brisbane

Three more exciting Tweed Heads stars have followed their hero, Lionel Morgan to the Wynnum-Manly club.  They are Bill Logan 22, Barry Telford 20 and Billy McDermott 17.

Logan arrived here on Saturday to play with  Easts, but decided to go I to Morgan’s club.  Logan was a sensation against the strong St. George Sydney club last season.

He scored two stirring tries and St. George officials there and then invited him to Sydney.  This year at the Tweed he scored six tries in two games.  He is solidly built and can play anywhere in the back line.

Mrs. Morgan, Lionel’s mother says he is “mighty”.  Mrs. Morgan and supporters hire a bus for 33 Pound to come from the Tweed each time Lionel plays in Brisbane.

Telford is a 16 stone front-row forward.  He is a baker and according to members of his club Tweed Seagulls, he is a “wild man”.

McDermott is a centre. young in years but with a bright future.  Mrs. Morgan claims he is just as tricky as Lionel.
