Wynnum last night received a boost ahead of Sunday’s Queensland Cup preliminary final against Redcliffe at Dolphin Oval when five-eighth Denny Lambert was named The Courier-Mail Brisbane player of the year.  Lambert received 38 points in voting from Queensland Cup referees, two more than his nearest rival, Ipswich halfback Ricky Bird.
