Luke Dalziel-Don receives the 2004 Colt of the year award

Wynnum Manly back rower Luke Dalziel-Don was awarded the 2004 Carbine Colt of the Year Award, after an outstanding season with the Seagulls.

Luke a talented Wynnum Manly junior made the transition to QLD cup and absolute breeze this year with his strong defence, ability to offload and his support play second to none.

The club said, “It has been a special year for Luke and we expect him to receive several offers from NRL clubs over the next few months, but we hope that he decides to stay here.”   “Luke has the qualities to be a future captain for the club and we are so proud that a local junior has taken out this award.”

This is fifth time a Wynnum Manly player has received this award with Gary Seaton (1975), Tony Jemmott (1985), Ricky Taylor (1992) and David Seage (1999) winning previously.  Dalziel-Don was presented his award by Courier Mail journalist Steve Ricketts at the annual QRL Presentation Awards Dinner held in The Paddington Ballroom at Lang Park.
